Golang Job: Back End Engineer

We're looking for engineers to work on Wish Search Engine/Recommendation/Ads systems. You will be working on building microservices for Search Engines to satisfy users’ search requests. We will provide a highly-personalized search feed for users.

The role is ideal for someone who has solid software engineering experience and ability to build microservice systems. It offers the unique opportunity to have direct impact on key product initiatives, including but not limited to these areas: product feed relevance, ads delivery, information extraction, search query understanding, and recommendations.

What you'll be doing:

• Develop Service Oriented System
• Build scalable, reliable, and efficient microservices for Wish recommendation/search engine system.
• Define and build API interface with multiple internal/external services
• Support the regular maintenance of the services with bug investigations and fixes
• Build data pipelines to analyze data and collect training data for down-streaming applications.

• Strong knowledge in Golang, Python, Scala or any other programming language.
• Experience with distributed systems at enterprise scale
• Experience building and maintaining a high throughput, low latency service
• Experience with API design and development
• Experience with development, integration and tuning using Presto, Spark, Hive or other query processing frameworks.
• Bachelor, Master, PhD degree in Computer Science or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3+ years of work experience in Software Development (including related internship experience).
• Experience working on Amazon Web Services, Kubernetes and Microservices
• Build and integrate high QPS, low latency, and scalable backend systems, services, and tools.
• Experience with Kakfa or other messaging systems.
• Experience with Flink, Spark or other stream processing frameworks.
